Phillip’s Interior Plants & Displays wins two prestigious International Plantscape Awards from AmericanHort. The awards are designed to recognize and celebrate excellence in the interiorscape community.

Designer and Account Manager Colette Peota won under the Major Renovations category for her reimagined atrium at Komori America. With a nod to both Phillip’s and the client’s commitment to green practices, Colette repurposed a variety of the atrium’s existing organic materials for her non-traditional planting design. Elements of  balance, line, texture and unity were used to create cohesive vignettes within the 22′ x 20′ area. The tranquil space offers a respite from the demands of the workday.

Designer and Sales Representative Shannon McCormick won under the Living Walls category for the green wall she installed in Terminal 3 between Concourses K and L at O’Hare. The green wall was conceptualized by GSky Plant Systems, Inc. and Clear Channel Airports to incorporate various colors and textures to the logo of Clear Channel Airports and brings a connection to nature directly to international travelers. Criteria such as complexity of design, long-term maintenance plans, and quality of materials all factored into the judges’ decision.
